Odysseus' Memories

Odysseus saw his house in a dream, a vision that motivated him to continue his journey to Ithaca.

Getting to Ithaca is not just any journey. European history and culture essentially come from the legacy of the Greek world, the primordial seed of what, with its thousand subsequent nuances, we have become today. From that primordial framework, thanks to literature, archaeology, iconographic documentation and research, we have structured the foundations of a culture which, thanks to the Greek impulse, would pervade the Mediterranean coasts for centuries. The journey, the return, the homeland, the nostos, the memory, the exploration, are some of the representations with which Odysseus has to deal in the twenty years in which he is away from his Ithaca. In those twenty years he absorbed experiences that filled him, changed him, enriched him.
